Most people can only pick a new Medicare D or Advantage plan during the open enrollment dates of October 15 - December 7. However, there are a number of important exceptions which let some people pick a new plan at other times of the year. The most important exception occurs in the year you turn 65, but there are many other important exceptions which you can learn about below.
